We have undertaken a lot of Retro Fit projects that had no insulation and brought them up to a very high standard. We achieve this from the ground up by removing old floors, installing new hardcore radon barrier insulation and new pipes if necessary. We then make up a timber frame structure on the new base of the building fitted with vapour control barriers on the external layer and re-insulate the inside of the walls and airtight them. On these particular projects, we bring old houses from no energy rating to achieving between a and b energy ratings.
